Th Seven Year War went from 1756 to 1763. Due to the war the demand of furs massively decreased and land (Territory) became and more important. In New France, British forces commanded by General James Wolfe defeat the French garrison of Quebec, commanded by the Marquis de Montcalm at the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in 1759. In 1760, the British capture Montreal and New France becomes a British colony. Under a new administration, the taxes and restraints that once plagued Radisson and des Groseilliers began to fade away. The war ended with the Treaty of Paris (1763).
