Sons of Liberty(1765):

The Sons of Liberty was a secret organization that was created in the Thirteen American Colonies to advance the rights of the European colonists and to fight taxation by the British government. It played a major role in most colonies in battling the Stamp Act in 1765. Their primary objective was to force was to pressure stamp distributors to resign. They did so through acts of vandalism and threats, however, they played a large part in advancing the independence of the early United States.
