What: Wrote trans-national America rejecting the melting pot idea, arguing that people will not conform to the anglo-saxon traditions. America offered a unique liberty while maintaining cultural isolation.

When: Early 1916

(Randolph's views were born just 1 year after Horace's was. He was in full agreement with Horace Kallen. Their views were basically the same thing although Randolph looked at things more from a sociological viewpoint. He argued that people aren't going to just give up their traditions. He said America was unique and to respect it, but America did not require any minority to give up their culture.)
