1 mayo 1491 año - Mesoamerican Civilizations
Descripción:
The Mesoamerican civilizations relied heavily on large scale agriculture to nourish themselves and trade within each other. The main crops grown were known as the three sisters, these being maize, squash, and beans. These societies were largely urban and densely populated, with polytheistic religious beliefs. The civilizations were bureaucratic and maintained power through religion, trade, tribute, and violence. The Aztecs and Incas were both major Mesoamerican civilizations and both Empires through conquest. The Aztecs were based in central Mexico and had a social hierarchy of priests and emperors, while the Incas were based in the Northwestern area of South America and was a more tributary empire. These societies were major influences on the American Indian Cultures and therefore shaped the American foundation as a whole. Key Concept 1.1.1
