in response to the success of the Soviet's Sputnik the United states puts what assets it had into overdrive. a new organization was formed and it absorbed the preexisting NACA thus forming NASA. the NASA organisation was formed with the task of overseeing all of America's non-military activity in space.Añadido al timeline:
