Descripción:

The boycott was started when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus when black people were supposed to sit in the back. This event spawned riots and bus boycotts that lasted for about another year. Aside from Rosa Parks, a key person in this event was Martin Luther King Jr. The protests were located mostly in Montgomery, Alabama. One main cause of these protests were from Parks's actions spawned by the segregation issues and one major effect was the civil rights movement and the supreme court ruled that segregation is unconstitutional and this was seen as the first major victory in the movement.
