1279 CE - 1368 CE The Yuan Dynasty was the Mongol-established dynasty in China. It was founded by Kublai Khan after the division of the Mongol Empire. It encompassed most all of China and during this era, the Mongols adopted Chinese culture and traditions into theirs, such as wearing both Chinese and Mongolian articles of clothing. It bore the Mandate of Heaven, which was incredibly special for a non-Chinese ruler to have. (3.2)
