9 agos 794 año - The Heian Period (794 C.E.-1185 C.E.)
Descripción:
The Heian Period in Japan was based heavily on Chinese traditions, which is a great example of selective borrowing that took place. The ruling system was based on a series of local rulers that all looked up to the Emperor, even though the sole purpose of the Emperor was to be a powerful figurehead of Japan. During this period, the Japanese symbolic script was created, which was also heavily based on the Chinese one. Even so, they changed it a little bit to make it more simple for the people. The decline of the Heian Period came after the equal field system fell apart, and the land was split primarily into 2 clans. (3.2)
