Below is a untitled map from 1836 that is of Africa and the Southern Atlantic Ocean. This is one of the most recent maps that has the phantom island of St. Matthew. St. Matthew Island is a phantom island that is supposed to be off the coast of Africa. It is often confused with Annobon Island, about 5 degrees south of St. Matthew.
