Truth and Reconciliation Commission, also known as TRC was when former students of Residential schools wanted to settle out of court but did not want their stories from the schools to be lost or forgotten. As they were an important part in our history that we can still learn from today. The Commissions goal was to gather written and oral history information, and bring the former students of the residential schools together, peacefully with the rest of Canada.
