Napoleon starts his invasion in July with 450,000 men and they meet early success but soon the campaign started getting friction because they didn't have the supply lines. Soon they reach a destroyed Moscow where they wait for 5 weeks but then it starts to snow and they are forced out in a guerilla warfare technique. This put Napoleon on the back foot and would lead to his eventual defeat and subsequent banishment.
