1 ene 1394 año - Canterbury Tales Chaucer

Descripción:

A record of 24 stories written in verse, Chaucer told the story of a group of pilgrims travelling from London to Canterbury in search of a shrine; on the way, they had a story-telling contest, each of which represents a chapter in the book.
The work is considered to be a huge landmark for English and world literature, as it is the book that contributed to the sweeping popularity of more books being written in the vernacular of the people. (This idea would later be held by Protestant revolutionaries like Luther and Calvin.) It's also one of the most commonly-resourced examples for the study of Middle English.
