Chemist Leandro Panizzon creates methylphenidate, another stimulant medication, which he dubs Ritalin, after his wife, Rita, who used it for controlling her low blood pressure. As medicine and modern chemistry improves, it leads to the production of Ritalin by pharmaceutical companies.
