25 ene 1788 año - Constitution Ratified

Descripción:

In June 1778 as the ninth state to ratify the Constitution, New Hampshire pushed over the ⅔ threshold needed to adopt the document. Ratification of the Constitution came after conventions and long debates over how much power would be granted to the federal government in this new foundation. Anti-federalists (opposing federal power over state power) lost out to the Federalists and their Federalist Papers, but did pose legitimate concerns that led to the inclusion of a Bill of Rights. The need for the Constitution came from the weakness of the Articles of Confederation that greatly restricted central government and led to disarray. The Constitution continued to play an immensely important role in U.S. history through setting the boundaries of power and the system used to this day.
