Marley, an ancient nation that preceded Eldia, is restored. In reality, the Marleyans were led by one of the former Eldian houses, the Tyburs, who controlled the War Hammer Titan. The Tyburs conspired with Karl Fritz to break apart Eldia, and to restore Marley, but with them as Eldians, still secretly ruling over the Marleyans.
