The Boston Massacre created a giant uproar through the colonies. The colonists attacked Private Hugh White, he was the lone guard protecting the King's money in the Customs House. White fought back and struck a colonist with his gun. The colonist started pelting him with objects, some redcoats came to the scene and started firing at the colonists, this left 5 colonists dead, and 6 wounded. This violence was seen as unnecessary to the colonists.
