Cortes leads 500 soldiers into the Mexican highlands. The limited force would go on to make alliances with indigenous groups. It should be noted that the expedition was considerably brutal. The expedition would also lead them to the the Aztec city of Tenochitlan, which would later be razed by the Spanish.Añadido al timeline:
