The first battle of the Civil War, consisting of Confederate soldiers bombarding For Sumter near Charleston, SC. After Confederate Brigadier General P. G. T. Beauregard had sufficiently bombed the fort, Union Major Robert Anderson evacuated the fort, which was then captured by the Confederacy.
