1 ene 1816 año - Year Without
a Summer
Descripción:
In the year prior, Mount Tambora erupted, producing a lot of ash and dust in the atmosphere which would later affect the United States, among other regions. This harshly impacted the crop production of Eastern United States, namely New England, as they were covered by a “dry fog” that wind or rain could disperse. Evidently, food shortages and crop failures caught the attention of the federal government, realizing the power of nature once again since the earthquake in 1812.
