Papyrus is a strong, durable paper-like material produced from the pith of the papyrus plant, and is first known to have been used in ancient Egypt as far back as the First Dynasty.☞ I learned about this ancient writing material when it was mentioned by my teacher back in High School; we were talking about the materials or methods used by ancient people to document their lives or how they were able to communicate through drawings and writings.
