Descripción:
The Burr-Hamilton Duel was a gunfight between Aaron Burr, the then current vice-president under Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton, the leader of the Federalist Party in America. In this duel, Hamilton took the first shot, but he missed by a close shot. Burr then shot Hamilton, giving him a fatal wound which would kill him in a matter of hours. This has political influence because it represents the showdown of the two largest political groups in America at the time: the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans. Burr represented the Democratic-Republicans, while Hamilton represented the Federalists.
