The library of Alexandria was the largest library of the ancient, with an expansive collection of information. It is said that Julius Ceasar unintentionally burned down the library after setting fire to Egyptian ships.
The library of Alexandria was a powerhouse of knowledge. There were texts from all over the ancient world in that library. When it was destroyed, many texts were lost forever.
