Princess Diana was the youngest daughter of Viscount Edward Spencer, and she already had connections with the royal family, considering her own royalty. They bore two sons, Prince Harry and Prince William. Diana was known as a "people-person", particularly since she enjoyed doing charity works and was interested in global activities. Their wedding was one of the most significant events, universally, especially since it was televised. They had changed the traditional vows, which, unsurprisingly, caused a stir during the time. Evidently, Diana was the first royal to omit the word "obey" from the vow. It was also the first wedding that did not take place at Westminster Abbey, which is known as the Royal Church.
