Greek rules tried to ban the importances of Judaism. But then the family known as the Maccabees rebelled against it. By this they won independence from the Greek rulers and saved thier religion. Also after that they started to have a celebration called Hanukkah to celebrate the victory of the Maccabees family and their reclaiming of the temple.Añadido al timeline:
