Printed in 1640 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Bay Psalm Book was the first printed book in British North America. This book was printed with the intent to help surge the colony at the time in order for the use of the Psalms being sung at Church. A committee of thirty people which included John Cotton, Richard Mather, and John Eliot helped to create a new translation of these Hebrew Psalms into English.Añadido al timeline:
