Descripción:
The first documented incident of syphilius, the fact that Christopher Columbus' men were in the city has been used as a basis for the idea that syphilius was a New World import to the Old World by way of the Columbian Exchange. But syphilius having some symptoms similar to other diseases like smallpox and leprosy in terms of physical effects and the fact people didn't well understand disease or what caused it, it's hard to say for sure whether this is true or not.
