While this was a "boosted opposition" to the Fugitive Slave Act. This was a book that discussed of race and slavery which was mostly unheard of at this time. This book open many people's mind in the north ans south about how slavery was wrong causing point's of views to change. This was a turning point that lead to the Civil War.
