This leads to the Anglican Church, also known as the Church of England. Reforms were not started because of questioning. Henry wanted his marriage annulled because his wife did not bare him a son. The Pope refused, and Henry broke from the Catholic Church so he can perform the annulment. This event fits the AP Euro theme of States and Other Institution of Powers because it is a time where there is questioning of the power of the Catholic Church. This event also fits the theme of Individual and Society because a lot of it had to do with personal religious preference or conflict.
