Marks the end of the Thirty Years' War. Emphasized rights stated in the Peace of Augsburg (1555) and also gives more rights to Calvinists. Different European States also gain more land or become thier own confederation. Marks the major decline of power of the Holy Roman Empire. This event fits the AP Euro theme of States and Other Institution of Powers because it is a time where there is questioning of the power of the Catholic Church. This event also fits the theme of Individual and Society because a lot of it had to do with personal religious preference or conflict.
