27 nov 1863 año - Siege of Knoxville

Descripción:

General Longstreet and his confederate troops lay siege to Knoxville which held under control by Union forces led by General Ambrose Burnside. On the 30th of November general Longstreet attacks but he suffers heavy losses. The arrival of Union reinforcements forces the confederates to stop the siege and to withdraw to Greeneville, Tennessee, where the men will spend the winter.
