At the great lakes, the American soldiers prove their resilience and secure the entirety of the great lakes with a victory over Britain's naval fleet. This ensures the security of the Northern region for the Americans. The victory in this battle can be seen as a large success, for it pushed the Indians and British back into Canada and shows the U.S. army's dominance. The following was a large turning point in the war as well as a way to show Madison that the possibility of victory was achievable
