This book was written on how to acquire power, create a state, and keep it, and the work was an effort to provide a guide for political action. He expressed how political actions did not always follow the rules and believed that morals sometimes must be compromised in order to obtain and keep power. This book sparked debates and lots of thinking pertaining to the correct way to rule as well as the use of immorality in ruling, and therefore him and his work are categorized under OS.
