The Edict of Nantes was a treaty that ended the French Wars of Religion. It was important because it gave the french Calvinists (Huguenots) the right to private worship and gave them somewhat rights. This fits into the Indivisual and society theme because the social group of the huguenots was affected and they gained rights.
