28 ene 1096 año - European massacres Jews in the First Crusade (Rhineland massacres)

Descripción:

When crusaders were passing through Rhineland to Jerusalem; they didn't just leave peacefully. They either slaughtered the Jews or forced them to convert to Christianity. Many Jews committed suicide before they were forced to be baptized. Jews had been alienated since 1000 AD due to their wealth and religion. This event is significant in Jewish history, it is seen as the beginning of anti-Semitism, which reached its climax during the Holocaust (History; Rhineland Massacres).
