The Declaration of Independence is a document from Thomas Jefferson and other colonists to the King of Britain. This document was written by Thomas Jefferson regarding that the colonies have overthrown their ruler and has accepted to be a separate nation from the world. In addition, Thomas Jefferson also got his ideas from John Locke's beliefs that people had a natural right to defend their Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
