Massacre of Huguenots in Paris, plotted by Catherine de Medici, and carried out by Roman Catholic nobles and other citizens. It was intended to end the war, and weaken the Huguenot cause. It did weaken them, but they rallied and fought fiercely, and became less willing to compromise. It marked the resumption of Religious Civil War in France.Añadido al timeline:
