21 dic 1665 año - Steno’s Law of Superposition
Descripción:
In 1666 a shark was caught off the cost of Livorno, Italy. Nicholas Steno studies the shark's teeth and realized that they looked almost identical to these rocks called tongue stones(fossilized teeth) and declared that tongue stones were in fact prettified shark teeth. He proposed that when a shark died, the molecules(corpuscles) of tissue were slowly replaced by mineral corpuscles. He explained that the fossils ended up deep in the rock because all rock was originally liquid and it settled in layers, the newer layers being the top ones.
