The Canadian Red Cross was founded in the fall of 1896. It started when three doctors flew Red Cross flags during the North West Rebellion in 1885. They wanted to remain neutral and help save lives on either side of the rebellion. The flags were showing that they were neutral, so they wouldn't be attacked. This led one of the doctors to start a branch of the British Red Cross in Canada in 1896.Añadido al timeline:
