Niels Bohr is greatly known for his Bohr Model and his proposed atomic theory in 1913. His theory proposed that energy transferal can only occur in certain amounts or quantities. It also proposed that electrons move around outside the nucleus in particular orbits. The Bohr Model was similar to that of the Solar System model. Bohr became the first to discover the separate orbits electrons have going around the nucleus. He says the amount of electrons in the outermost orbit determine elemental properties.
