Three former PayPal employees—Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim all created the video sharing service, known as YouTube, on the 14th February 2005, however in 2006 Google bought the service.

YouTube allows anyone to view, like, comment and upload videos. YouTube has become an extremely popular service with people becoming famous and creating jobs through making videos and posting them to the site.

As time went on YouTube began to create new developments with add ons such as YouTube Premium and Youtube TV. YouTube TV was an additional commercial services that allows channels such as ABC, CNN and Fox to post shows on it.

In my opinion, YouTube has played a significant role in the development of tv and film. Not only has it created jobs for 'YouTubers' but it has also changed the way people, specifically teens and kids, view TV, film and videos. YouTube TV was a very important part as it allowed actual tv to be shown on the site.
