1 sept 1957 año - Little Rock High School
Descripción:
The Little Rock Nine were a group of nine black students who enrolled at an all-white High School in Little Rock, in September 1957. Their attendance at the school was a test of the Brown v. Board of Education. On September 4, 1957, the first day of classes at Central High, Governor Faubus called in the Arkansas National Guard to stop the black students’ entry into the high school. Later in that month, President D. Eisenhower sent in federal troops to escort the Little Rock Nine group into the school.
