15 jul 2008 año - Congress overrides Bush's veto
Descripción:
Congress put a bill through to president bush that would protect doctors from a 10.6% reimbursement cut when they treated patients with medicare. President bush however, vetoed the bill. Then congress voted again reaching their ⅔ approval rate by a landslide, turning the bill into a law. This shows how the legislative branch can check the executive branch. This is an example of how checks and balances work in the united states, and allow representatives to vote to pass a bill they all agree betters the lives of the American people.
