Enlightenment ideas started to occur in France. People started to think that science and other ideas could help discover the world rather than religion. The French Church wanted the world to stay exactly the same and that didn't set with many people. Most of the enlightenment ideas started in the salons of Paris where women would get together and celebrate art, music, and writing from famous thinkers. Many years later many scientists such as Isaac Newton changed the world and that started many other people to change the world without religion
