An H1N1 type influenza virus, Swine Flu primarily affected the young, children and young adults who had never been exposed to an H1N1 before. It killed about two hundred thousand people but compared to the other influenza pandemics that occurred, especially the Spanish flu which was also a H1N1, it was ultimately mild.
