Napoleon escapes the island of Elba not the way you would think. King Louis sent an army the direction of Napoleon in hopes that they would fight him and eliminate him. Like a proud lion, Napoleon faces the army of nearly 20,000 people with an emperor-like dignity and addresses them. With his extreme charismatic personality, the people were instantly taken in and joined sides with him. Instead of wiping him out, they joined forces with him and marched on towards Paris. On the way, they encountered yet another army, and Napoleon addressed them in the same way, and they too were taken in. when they got to Paris, Napoleon was hailed as a hero again, people were so excited to see him, they immediately proclaimed him as ruler, and so just like that, Napoleon went from being banished and rotting in Elba to regaining his power as the emperor of France.
