On this day Saddam Hussein was finally caught. Operation Red Dawn was an American military operation conducted in Iraq that led to the capture of the former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein. He did many wrong things to his country and the United States wanted to find him after the invasion of Iraq to get him out of power. He was hiding out after going out of the public view soon after the 2003 invasion of Iraq. he had spent 9 months on the run before he was caught. He was trialed and found guilty and was executed.
