On August 2, 2016, "The Fire This Time: A New Generation Speaks About Race" edited by Jasmyn Ward is published. The title alludes to "The Fire Next Time", written by James Baldwin in 1963. "The Fire This Time" is a collection of essays and poems written by entirely by black authors, that highlights different aspects of the black experience.
