Weebles are egg-shaped characters that have a weight located at the bottom. The Weebles were a popular toy fad because gravity brought the little characters back into an upright position, so it was impossible for the toy to fall. The cahchfrase of the toy was "Weebles wobble, but they won't fall down". Weebles quickly rose to popularity because it was a new type of toy that no one had seen before. The most successful year for the Weebles was 1971.

Weebles were mainly targeted for young children between the ages 4-7.
