24 abr 1890 año - THE LUMIERE BROTHERS - 1890'S

Descripción:

The ongoing problem that was faced by these inventors was that a strip of film could not continually run past an open lens camera. This is because it had to stop, expose for a fraction of a section (depending on the exposure time), then advance and repeat this action.

The Lumiere Brothers noticed this problem, and recognised that the mechanics of sewing machines worked in a much similar way. They took it upon themselves to adapt the problematic technology.
The Lumiere brothers were inspired by the workings of sewing machines, making their own camera called the Cinematographe.
This camera was smaller than Le Prince's camera and relied on electrical power, making it much more portable, and had an advantage to Edison's Kinetoscope as they created it so that more than one person could view the moving image at one time.
