Descripción:
Following the death of Paul von Hindenburg in January the coalition surrounding him collapsed with the SPD and Zentrum proposing former Chancellor Otto Braun for the Presidency and the DVP and DDP proposing Heinrich Sahm while the DVNP backed their leader Hugenburg.
